Detailer/Lot Attendant - Ajax
Location: Ajax, ON
SUMMARY
The Detailer/Lot Attendant is responsible to perform extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing of vehicles both inside and out, producing a show-quality level of detail. They will also support the Service Departments by keeping the service area and yard clean, organized and safe for usage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Heavy Duty Truck cleaning; wash and detail trucks inside and out.
- Use of different types of equipment to complete tasks which include proper handling of cleaning equipment and proper storage of equipment when task is complete; including but not limited to:
- Pressure washers.
- Waxing machines.
- Polishing machines.
- Chemical cleaning equipment.
- General shop upkeep, cleaning and organizing.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.
- General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools.
- Inspects all assembly parts and reports defective material or questionable component conditions to management.
- Park customer’s trucks or direct customers where to drop off their trucks.
- Locate vehicles and deliver vehicles to customers at reception area and or Provide customers with instructions for locating their truck.
- Move trucks for Service Technicians as required.
- Maintain the lot/yard space, keeping it clean and orderly to ensure space usage is maximized.
- Snow removal and salting of lot when required.
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA, WHMIS company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including proper use of appropriate PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- OSSD/CCEA
- Previous experience an asset
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Good command of the English language – written and oral.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence.
- Clean Driver’s abstract (last 12 months)
- AZ/DZ Licence an asset
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting

- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

- Monday to Friday – 7am to 4pm. Occasional Saturday’s may be required based on business needs
