310T Technicians – Maple, Bracebridge & Ajax

SUMMARY
A Truck and Coach Technicians is responsible to diagnose, Inspect, service and repair, motor coaches, heavy trucks and truck trailers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and diagnose operating problems in frames, steering mechanisms, engines, transmissions, brakes, ignition, axles, fuel systems, engine management systems, suspension systems, electrical/electronic systems, emission control systems and air conditioning/refrigeration systems.
- Ensure jobs are properly diagnosed and reported following proper processes
- Adjusting, overhauling, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axles and other components
- Complete all repairs as outlined in OEM manuals and to OEM standards.
- Ability to use various diagnostic equipment to diagnose and isolate faults or malfunctions.
- Work in a safe manner, report and unsafe equipment or conditions to a supervisor immediately.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and service managers in a courteous manner.
- Read and interpret owner/operator/manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications
- Participate in all training and skills upgrading that is required to effectively and safely perform your duties.
- Provide guidance and training to 310T Apprentices
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA, WHMIS, company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including appropriate use of required PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Valid 310T Designation recognised by Skilled Trades Ontario
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Valid G Licence
- AZ/DZ Licence an asset
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting

- Repetitive bending.
- Lifting, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

SCHEDULE
Various shifts available: all shift require a scheduled rotational Saturday
Day Shift – Monday to Friday (8.5 hours a day)
Night Shift – Monday to Thursday (10 – 10.5 hours a day)
